Ethically Sourced Timber

OZ Design regards ethical timber sourcing as a high priority for the business and aims to comply with the relevant legislation regarding timber sourcing. We recognise we have a responsibility to the environment, our customers, suppliers and staff to base sourcing and manufacturing on legally harvested forests.   

OZ Design is committed to identifying the source of timber materials that are used in the manufacturing of our furniture and homewares products. We will take reasonable measures to ensure that the timber materials used meet the following requirements in accordance with the Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Act 2012:  

• Comes from a known source  
• Sourced legally  
• Sourced from species not listed as threatened  
• Not soured from conflict timber  
• Not sourced from high conservation areas  
• Comes with documentation proving legality and source  

Our aim is to build long term relationships with suppliers who share a common commitment to sustainable management and supply of timber to minimise the environmental impact of their operations.
